JOB TITLE: Coordinator of Artist Residency Program

REPORTS TO: Associate Director


  • Coordinate all aspects of the Artist Residency Program including recruitment, reviewing applications, advertising, social media, faculty and staffing, logistics, alumni and community relations, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Act as primary contact for all communication from prospects, applicants, and participants of the Artist Residency Program, including monitoring the email account, phone calls and walk-ins.
  • In collaboration with the Associate Director, develop lectures, panels, exhibitions, and other public programs representing special programs in the Division of Continuing Education.
  • Research current trends in creative and social practice and make programming recommendations to the Associate Director.
  • Collaborate with social media consultant to implement social media solutions. Supervise student assistants for Artist Residency programs.
  • Assist in organizing Artist Residency Alumni Network and exhibitions.
  • Provide content for the ContinuEd quarterly newsletter as pertains to the Residency.

Key Required Skills:

  • MFA or equivalent experience in the art and design industries Access to a wide network of art and design professionals Strong administrative background
  • Knowledge of the various arts disciplines
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and Web languages and software Excellent writing and verbal skills and ability to communicate to a diverse public detail-oriented, ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent interpersonal skills and student-oriented approach to work
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new social media trends
